We have a Lake in Bryan??? Lake Bryan? :)
May 24th, 2008 Categories: Community Events
Admittedly, I am an avid boater and even I lived in the area for several years before discovering Lake Bryan. It is a real gem in our community!
Yes, It’s big enough to Ski. Lake Bryan is actually separated into 2 parts, both big enough for several boats to pull skiers at the same time. The highly technical terms for the different parts of the lake are the Main Area” and “The Other Side of the bridge”… Directions are fairly obvious once you get on the water.
In addition to water and camping, the lake area also has critically acclaimed mountain bike trails. Check this link out: http://www.austinbike.com/mtb/lakebryan/index.asp
The lake also has newly remodeled restaurant called The Hook…Here’s their writeup:
The Hook Lakeside Bar and Grille is the Brazos Valley’s premier fun loving, casual dining destination. If you’re tired of the same old boring chain joints, come out to The Hook for not only a change of pace, but the best scenery of any eatery in the area.
Sitting on beautiful Lake Bryan, with our 5000 square foot deck, we offer a setting like no other in the Bryan / College Station area. We are proud to offer our services for both local and traveling patrons to take advantage of. So whether you are entertaining a client, showing the folks to a good time, or just looking for a cool place to hang out with your friends, The Hook has you covered.
The Hook welcomes groups. We have played host to club socials, managers meetings, business networking lunches, and various family events including birthdays, reunions, and anniversaries. Remember The Hook Lakeside Bar and Grille at Lake Bryan the next time you’re looking for a new spin on your special occasion. Call 979-361-0861 for more details.

Country Music Star Roger Creager played at the hook last Thursday, and this Sunday Cory Morrow will be live!!!
And be sure to check out the Lake as soon as possible…Look for the Century 21 Gold and Black ski boat and flag me down and I’ll take you for a ride.

Ok I’m going out to the lake to find you. I want a ride in the Century 21 boat! Hope it rides safer than the motorcycle….
Used to be called Bryan Utility Lake or Bryan Utilities Lake. Something like that. It sure has changed.
