College Station Duplex – Good Investment or Bad?

In my Professional Real Estate Agent Opinion {clearing throat, chest flex and slight twist of neck} It depends: If you own a duplex and are thinking of selling, A duplex is a horrible investment and you need to get out of that thing like a burning jet.  Call Me- I can Help!  :)   If you are thinking about buying one, its a wonderful investment…Cash in the retirement, you’ll never make it that long anyway. Call Me-I can help :)

Just Kidding…Oh wait…I’m a blogger now so its JK???  Right?  Or is that only for text and IM (I’m soo confused)

The truth is…Real Estate is ALWAYS a good investment if Read the rest of this entry »

A Heartfelt Story of Christian the Lion!!!

I know, I know…I’m not normally seen as the “touchy feely” guy. However, this is an amazing story!

Christian the Lion was found as a small cub in a little cage in a department store in the 60’s. These guys adopted him and then released him to the wild. Years later they went to visit him and he remembered them!!!

If this story is a fake don’t tell me.

Skeptical??? I was too…However, I tend to trust religiouse figures.

What does this have to do with Real Estate in Bryan College Station??? Absolutely Nothing!

Are Big SUV’s really a thing of the past???

First no more H1 Hummer….Now This???  The Ford Flex?

I agree we need to do what we can to reduce greenhouse gasses and create vehicles with better emmissions.  However, I gotta admit that in the back of my mind I always felt that the “Preeminent Death of the SUV” was just a liberal idea that was never going to (or at least not this rapidly) materialize.

But Now This: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121717653220687895.html?mod=googlenews_wsj  a “Big Crossover” from Ford (I guess this replaced the Excursion!!!)

It’s great to create a big vehicle that seats a bunch of people.  In fact, in alot of ways for many people/familys I think this is probably a better solution in terms of environmental cost that the traditional Hybrid.  (Not to mention the environmental cost of the battery parts in, for example, a Toyota Prius…)

What pollutes less???  A family of 5 going to Dinner in a Tahoe (with a service life of over 200,000 miles but thats a seperate argument)  Or a Family of 5 going to dinner in 2 Prius’ or Pri (with a service life of ~80,000, again seperate argument)???

My argument is that SUVs are a utility for alot of people…Lets keep’em around America.  How else are you gonna pull a boat and a carload of people to go to the lake?

iPhone Update…Is MobileMe Broken???

Mobile MeWell the new iPhone has finally arrived and with it Apple’s new MobileMe package. MoblieMe is basically a “Pay on a monthly basis” Apple version of Microsoft exchange Server.

Basically, you pay Apple monthly to host an email address and domain that synchs all your devices Calendars, Contacts, and emails. This gets you the same calendar and email wirelessly on your Desktop, laptop and phone. It’s really cool stuff that makes lie a little easier for the busy proffessional. However, since its launch it has been scoured by the media for a few “bugs”…Apple claims only 1% of users are effected. See article at Computerworld.

As a longtime exchange user I think “Growing Pains are usual and can be expected with this type of software/conversion… What do you think???

A Great Day for iPhone Users!!!

iPhone

It was confirmed publicly yesterday that not only will the new iPhone support Active Synch (AUTO synch: calendar contacts and mail with Microsoft Outlook) with ALL Microsoft Exchange Servers, along with the release of the phone will be an “upgrade” of iPhone software for all iPhones (including old iPhones) to the new 2.0 software. This upgrade will enable all iPhones to Active-Synch with Microsoft Exchange (even old iPhones).

The 2.0 upgrades (available for FREE on both iPhone models) are not just limited to Exchange compatibility… This upgrade will bring with it a host of really cool new features and games. Check it out: Visit www.BuyAggieland for all your real estate needs!
